About me
Hi, I’m Jeanette Houghtelling. As a doctoral-prepared, board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am dedicated to helping people find emotional well-being using a whole-person approach to mental health. I see my patients as unique individuals who are far more complex than a simple diagnosis.
With more than three decades of experience in diverse healthcare settings including inpatient adult and adolescent psychiatry and adult medical-surgical nursing, I bring a compassionate, integrative approach to supporting individuals navigating mental health challenges.
My commitment to trauma-informed care is supported by advanced certificates from the Allender Center in trauma-focused narrative therapy and a counseling certificate from Concordia University Irvine’s Townsend Institute. I also have training and experience in caring for military veterans and their families. This background has equipped me to work effectively with individuals navigating a wide range of challenges.
In my free time, I can be found wandering the nearby mountains, hanging out with friends and family, or trying yet another variation of my sourdough recipe.
